So last night I went into the bathroom to pee before bed and I looked into the mirror. I had white stuff all over my face. I was baffled for a second because my face burned weeks ago and had already peeled.
And then I remembered! My run! I had ran through a million spider webs along with their escape routes and they were still stuck to my skin - like a second skin!
A lot of spiders build their webs during the night and then eat them to reuse the proteins - that way they are fueled to build new webs...
I giggled but I also feel a bit guilty because they used up so much energy to build those webs and here I come along and just take it all away. Like in seconds - gone.
Makes me wonder why there couldn't just be some force of nature to do the same to this civilization...
A Thunderbird comes along and with a flap of it's wings creates a wind so strong that all buildings across the globe collapse in on themselves. The Thunderbird shoots lightning from it's eyes and catches it all on fire - all that has been built by man and that is not natural - all on fire until it becomes ashes - then the wind carries it into the volcanoes, new life emerges from the Earth. And wildness keeps on keeping on...

i'm looking forward to hearing what you thought of track running. it took me awhile to be able to take myself seriously on that thing, but it is kind of fun.
i ended up not running on the track last night cuz I decided today would be a long run and i wanted to feel fresh for it. today was 18 miles on single track trail - i wanted to do 20 but i didn't bring enough water. also too many bikers out there. it's about a 10 mile bike ride each way, so all in all my muscles feel pretty wooped right now.
i think i destroyed at least four spider webs today. fucking sucks, and so do fireworks which i wonder what deer think of. they like lights but of course the noise probably makes them think the world is coming to an end.
Tim says he's "thriving." That's bullshit. He says hello and you get 5,298 hugs or hellos or whatever.
I plan to go to the track tonight. I'll let you know what I think. I'm sure it will be strange. It's insane how much money they put into putting those tracks down. KT says back in 96 his old high school spent 3 million dollars on their track. That is fucking insane...
"Thriving" - bullshit?! Tell Tim I return the hugs!!! KT says hey too.
I'll post about that track run when I get back...
